The term "your users" represents the people who will be allowed to access your protected files. By assigning a username/password to each user, you can keep track of who logged in at what time. You can also control each account by setting an optional expiration date or providing a "Forgot Password" link.

Users are unique to each folder, so you can share different content with different groups of people.
